Bienvenidos. Soy Marcelo D. Boeri (http://uahurtado.academia.edu/MarceloBoeri), Profesor de Filosofía en el Departamento de Filosofía de la Universidad Alberto Hurtado (Santiago, Chile). Mi especialidad es la filosofía antigua (en particular temas de epistemología, psicología moral, teoría de la acción y cosmología en Platón, Aristóteles y el estoicismo) y la recepción del pensamiento antiguo en la Modernidad (sobre todo en J. Locke e I. Kant). También dicto un curso de ética donde se leen y discuten textos de Aristóteles, Kant, G. Moore, P. Foot y otros teóricos contemporáneos. Durante casi 10 años co-edité (con Alejandro G. Vigo) Méthexis. Journal for Ancient Philosophy. He publicado traducciones anotadas y comentadas de Platón (Teeteto, Filebo), Aristóteles (Física I-II; VII-VIII; Acerca del alma), y los estoicos (con Ricardo Salles; nuestro libro de fuentes estoicas será publicado por Academia Verlag, Alemania). También he publicado más de 70 artículos y capítulos de libros (en español e inglés) sobre Platón, Aristóteles, el estoicismo, Ps. Justino y la recepción del estoicismo en John Locke.
Welcome. I am Marcelo D. Boeri (http://uahurtado.academia.edu/MarceloBoeri), Professor of Philosophy at the Philosophy Department, Universidad Alberto Hurtado (Santiago, Chile). My area of specialization is Ancient Philosophy (with a special focus on epistemology, moral psychology, action theory and cosmology in Plato, Aristotle, and Stoicism) and the reception of Ancient thought in Modernity (specially in J. Locke and I. Kant). I also teach an ethics corsue, where texts by Aristotle, Kant, G. Moore, P. Foot and other contemporary theorists are read and discussed. For almost 10 years I co-edited (along with Alejandro G. Vigo) Méthexis. Journal for Ancient Philosophy. I have published annoted and commented translations of Plato (Theaetetus, Philebus), Aristotle (Physics I-II and VII-VIII; On the soul), and the Stoics (along with Ricardo Salles. Our Stoic Sourcebook is forthcoming in Academia Verlag, Germany). I have also published more than 70 papers and chapters of books (in Spanish and English) on Plato, Aristotle, the Stoicism, Ps. Justin, and the reception of Stoicism in John Locke.
